Buying an international chip to travel to the United States #003
I searched on several websites to purchase an international chip to use the internet when I arrived in the United States.
One of my biggest fears is arriving in the country and not having any communication, so I have already looked at the available options in advance.
I saw that having an international plan won't be worth it in my case, but I'm going to change my prepaid plan to Vivo Easy, as there is an option in the app to buy internet for international use, I'm going to leave this option as a plan B. I need a transition time to move my stuff to a USA number, so I have to keep my Brazilian number.
Many websites to buy the chip have the e-Sim option, but my cell phone is older and I have to use the chip to insert it.
I found the options on websites specializing in international internet service for cell phones with prices to be a bit steep and I found it a bit complicated, so I decided to buy from Mercado Livre.
The chip cost R$124.90, 10GB internet valid for 30 days. I got free shipping and I'll be able to get by when it arrives. I believe I made a good deal. So I recommend Mercado Livre, less bureaucratic and more practical.
