Preparing my immunity to leave Brazil - Vaccines, Anti-worms and probiotics #010

I don't know what access to supplements and medications is like in the United States, so I'm preparing myself in Brazil.

I took anti-worm medicine to cleanse my body. I'm not doing this exclusively because of the trip, because in my house we've always had this custom of taking this preventive measure. We're very careful with food hygiene, but we don't know the origin of all processed foods or the ingredients used, or the cleanliness of establishments such as restaurants, bakeries, etc. For those who have never taken anti-worm medicine, it's worth doing some research. It could be that a lack of vitamins or excessive fatigue are caused by this. Before my trip, I reinforced my digestive system protection.

Another thing I started doing to help my immunity and nutrient absorption is taking probiotics. Our modern diet is very poor in these microorganisms, these good bacteria. Fermented foods such as kefir, kombucha, yogurt, sauerkraut, kimchi, fermented milk, etc. help to keep the intestinal flora functioning properly, but there are also supplements in the pharmacy that help to keep the intestine healthy, probiotics in capsules.

I lost my vaccination card (but later found it), I got the tetanus vaccine that was overdue, I'm going to top up the card to make my body immune to various diseases.

Healthcare in the United States is very expensive, so it's not a good idea to take risks and do this preparation.
