Taking a lesson on how to use a printer at college in the US #026

I was still afraid of talking to people in English, avoiding social situations. But there was no way around it, I had to print some articles and I had to go to the library. I couldn't find the library at first, so I walked around the campus a bit to find it. Then I finally managed to find the place.

Since I was already there, I took the opportunity to ask if I could borrow a physical book, since the college now makes all of its books available in digital format. I think the digital format is better for fiction books and stories. Books with academic content that are good to flip through to find some information, I find it less practical. The version of the book that was there was very old, from decades ago, and it wouldn't be useful for me. I had to accept my tragic fate of having to read the book on the computer.

Since I had an hour and a half free, I went to explore the environment. I asked people questions and tried to understand, lol. Until a lady came to my office and gave me a lesson showing me all the steps to use the printer by writing on paper. I thought her attitude was really cool. That forced English class, lol. Everything went wrong, but then I found the printers that were working and it worked out.

Lesson: I think everything will go wrong, but in the end everything works out. Having to survive and having to do something is a great incentive to learn English. I wonder how people who live here in the United States for many years without learning the language survive. If you live in a foreign country that speaks another language, it is extremely important to learn how to communicate with the locals.
