Academic paper formatting system in the US, bye-bye ABNT! #029

Here in the United States, I found the academic paper formatting system to be much easier, more practical and less of a headache compared to ABNT, which is the standard in Brazil.

Therefore, as in other areas of academic life, formatting is also something that is more flexible and adaptable than in Brazil.

At my college (Fayetteville State University), I noticed that the most widely used standard is APA Style, from what I've seen it is the most widely accepted method. Some professors ask for formatting using this method, others say that we can choose other methods, such as Harvard formatting, Chicago formatting, etc., but the student has to be consistent with the formatting choice from beginning to end.

I bought a quick guide on Amazon to APA to leave on my desk so that it is easy to refer to.

If you are coming to study in the United States, it is a good idea to research the APA rules, watch videos and buy books on the subject to be better prepared.
